Electromagnetic analysis of circuit breaker tripping unit
Mlynář, Zdeněk ; Augusta, Zbyněk (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
Using circuit breakers as devices for protecting the circuit, equipment, property, and not least the people is an important part of the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. This puts high demands on the design of complex devices such as circuit breakers. To ensure proper function is one of many parts and that is the trip unit. Trip unit is used to evaluate the current flowing through the breaker and respond to undesirable overcurrent. For these reasons, this work deals with electromagnetic analysis - specifically thermal magnetic trip unit. The focus will be on improving the actual situation and finding more suitable design solutions.
Analyses of the breaker/limiter functions for low voltage supply points
Bajánková, Denisa ; Toman, Petr (referee) ; Topolánek, David (advisor)
The diploma thesis provides an insight into the remote control and disconnection of DSO supply points phenomenon. The remote or local disconnection/connection of supply point is allowed by the breaker function. The automatic disconnection of supply point is enabled by the limiter function. Due to the anticipated implementation of smart meters in the Czech Republic in the future, this work contains the comprehensive description of breaker/limiter function with proposed possibilities of use in the Czech Republic. The thesis deals with the current breaker/limiter function use in the Czech Republic and in other countries. It introduces the smart meter installation in pilot projects to analyze the breaker/limiter function use in other countries. The thesis is focused on the technical solution of breaker/limiter. Moreover, it describes the ways of connecting the breaker, settting the limiter, connecting/disconnecting a supply point and breaker operation. Further, the thesis introduces the ways of activating the breaker by a customer and defines in which cases it is possible to limit and interrupt the electricity supply in the Czech Republic currently. The main aim of thesis is to describe the specific possibilities of breaker/limiter function use in the Czech Republic. With regard to the function use in other countries and the limiting or interrupting the electricity supply by DSO according to energy law, the possibilities of use are proposed. Each possibility of use is analyzed when implementing the breaker function or the breaker/limiter function. The benefits are defined for a DSO and for a customer. The proposed uses are evaluated in terms of applicability and valid legislation in the Czech Republic. The result of this work is the summary of information about breaker/limiter function which is one of the new features in the implementation of smart metering. The function installation and the implementation of possibilities described in the thesis depends on the DSO decision.
Implementation of the new ABB SACE Emax 2 air circuit breaker series in a low-voltage MNS switchgear product portfolio
Studený, Michal ; ABB, Vladimír Horych, (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
The Master’s Thesis comprises a summary of the differences existing design of MNS switchgear series against AGOMIN project innovative proposal. The introduction deals with the introduction to the CAD program SolidWorks and its extension for enterprise data management SolidWorks Enterprise PDM. The body of the paper deals with a new range of air circuit breakers ABB SACE Emax 2 and their implementation into the product line of low voltage switchgears. Included are other improvements that together with implementation of circuit breakers AGOMIN project brings.
Study of the Possibility of Extention of 110 kV substation in TKV
Poledník, Petr ; Grym, Rudolf (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
This project are deal with the posibility of extention of 100 kV substation in TKV. What is important for project is restriction of conditions for realization. The aim for project is create individual possibilities of solutions and consequently their evaluation.
Simulation of Heat Transfer in Low-Voltage Switchboard MNS - Optimization of Heat Transfer into The Switchboard
Czudek, Aleš ; Maxa, Jiří (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
The thesis includes diagnostics temperature field of industrial low voltage. Place of origin, flow and heat transfer are important aspects in the design of the switchgear, especially in terms of proper equipment layout. The correctness of the design of the switchgear is verified by measuring the practical temperature field during testing or in work mode. To determine the temperature profile, it is necessary to measure the temperature at various points of the switchgear, either contact or contactless method. Measurements are performed on standardized low voltage switchboards, which are located power elements. The goal is to replace costly and time-consuming field testing switchgear efficient simulation of the temperature field mathematical model developed switchboards.
Electrical installation in family house
Dalecký, Jan ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Ondrejček, Vladimír (advisor)
In this bachelor's thesis is analyzed electrical installation of family house. It's goal is to summarize information important for designing electrical installation and subsequently create project documentation of electrical installation of three-floor family house. First part of the bachelor's thesis is dedicated to directives and demands for realization of electrical installation, which you need to lead by when creating project documentation and then assembling it in an object. The second part is focused on creating blueprints including lightning protection, low and high current installation, designing and dimensioning switchboards and technical report.
The Methodics of TC Addition to the Power Infrastructure
Trůčka, Martin ; Zíka, Josef (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of Bachelor work is to describe the methodology of TC addition to the power infrastructure. The first part is focused on a description of TC features and also on the way how to add TC to the power infrastructure. The thesis also contains other possibilities of solution with respect to the theoretical resources. The attention is also focused on a particular method of projecting TC addition to the power infrastructure to achieve maximum protection against power failure and other phenomena.
